Type 1 Gaucher disease is also called non-neuronopathic disease as the brain and spinal cord are not affected.

Dosage:
Recommended dose for Vpriv is 60 Units/kg administered every other week as a 60-minute intravenous infusion. There can be dosage adjustment and maintenance therapy is given to the patient with the goal to achieve therapeutic goals. The suggested dose for maintenance therapy is 15 units/kg to 60 units/kg.
Adverse reactions:
- Hypersensitivity reactions are reported in clinical studies in patients who are on treatment of Vpriv.
- Infusion related reactions such as dizziness, headache, pyrexia have been observed in patients in clinical studies.
